Short answer: choose a concrete batching plant manufacturer that builds the plant in its own factory, recommends the plant type that fits your work, can explain capacity through mixer volume and cycle time, lists silos, bins, belts and controls clearly in its offer, includes installation and operator training in the price, gives a written warranty and ships spare parts from stock. Before you compare prices, ask every company on your list the ten questions below.
A concrete batching plant is not a single machine like a block machine; it is a facility made of aggregate bins, belts, a mixer, silos, a weighing system and controls. Two offers can both say "120 m³ per hour" and describe very different plants. This checklist explains what to ask a batching plant manufacturer, which answers are good enough and what the warning signs are. If you first want to see how a plant works, read our article on how a concrete batching plant works.
1. Does the company have its own factory, or is it a trading company?
A company that designs and builds the plant itself can adapt it to your site, change the number of bin compartments or silos, and supply spare parts for years. A trading company buys the plant from someone else; when something breaks, it has to ask the real manufacturer.
- Ask for: the full factory address, photos and videos of steel structure and mixer production, and if possible a factory visit before you pay.
- Warning sign: only an office address, plant photos collected from different brands, no clear answer to "where exactly is your factory?".
İBAR MAKİNA builds its batching plants in its own factory in Çerkezköy (Tekirdağ) and has more than 45 years of manufacturing experience.
2. Which type of plant fits your work?
A good manufacturer asks you questions before it quotes a price: where will the concrete go, how many years will you produce in the same place, how many m³ do you need per day? The plant type follows from these answers.
| Type | When it fits | İBAR MAKİNA models |
|---|---|---|
| Stationary plant | Ready-mix plant, precast factory or years of high-volume production in one place | PROMIX 100, PROMIX 120, PROMIX 135 |
| Mobile plant | Road, dam and infrastructure work that moves from site to site | MOBIL MIX 60 TWN, MOBIL MIX 100, MOBIL MIX 135 |
| Compact plant | Limited space, fast installation, medium to high output | RAPID 60, RAPID 90, RAPID 120, RAPID 135 |
| Site-type plant | Small sites, concrete for your own block or pipe factory, low investment | MOBIL MIX 30 |
We explain the difference between mobile and stationary plants in detail in what is a mobile concrete batching plant.
3. Is the number in the model name the real hourly output?
In this industry, plants are usually named after their nominal capacity; the real hourly output depends on the mixer volume, the length of one cycle, how fast aggregates are fed and how often truck mixers arrive under the tower. So do not look only at the model name.
- Ask for: the mixer's compacted concrete volume, the cycle time and the hourly output that follows from them.
- Example: the PROMIX 135 produces 120–135 m³ per hour with a mixer of 3 m³ compacted concrete (4000 litres dry filling); our product pages state the hourly output of every model separately.
- Warning sign: no answer when you ask for mixer volume and cycle time.
4. The mixer: what type and what volume?
The mixer is the heart of the plant. Twin-shaft mixers are widely used in ready-mix and precast production because they give a uniform mix quickly. An offer can state mixer volume in two ways: dry filling volume and compacted concrete volume. Compare like with like, or a small mixer can look big.
- Ask about: mixer type, compacted concrete volume, motor power, and spare wear plates and arms.
5. How do weighing and automation work?
Concrete quality depends on weighing aggregates, cement, water and admixture correctly in every cycle. Ask whether each material is weighed separately, whether recipes can be stored in the control system and whether batches can be tracked.
- Example: on the PROMIX 135, aggregates are weighed up to 4.5 m³, cement up to 1800 kg, water up to 1000 kg and admixture up to 20 kg, each separately.
- Warning sign: an offer without weighing capacities, or the answer "we measure by volume".
6. What is in the offer? Compare the same plants
The biggest difference between batching plant offers is scope. A cheap-looking offer may leave out silos, screw conveyors or the control cabin. In every offer, look for the number and capacity of:
- Aggregate bins: number of compartments and volume per compartment
- Weighing belt and transfer belt (width, length)
- Mixer and waiting hopper
- Cement silos and screw conveyors (number and capacity)
- Water and admixture weighing, water tank
- Control cabin and automation
- Installation, commissioning and training
We explain what drives the price of a plant in our guide to concrete batching plant prices.
7. What do the site and foundation need?
A stationary plant needs a solid foundation, room for aggregate stock and loading, a road for truck mixers to come and go, enough electrical power and water. These needs change with plant type and capacity.
- Ask about: installed power, the site dimensions required and what information will be provided for the foundation.
- Warning sign: a firm offer given without a single question about your site.
8. Are installation, commissioning and operator training included?
If a plant is not installed correctly on site, even the best mixer will not perform. See in writing who installs the plant, how many people come and whether your operators are trained.
At İBAR MAKİNA, on-site installation and operator training are included in the price.
9. Warranty and spare parts: what happens when something breaks?
When the plant stops, the truck mixers and the job sites stop too. Ask for the written warranty period, which parts are kept in stock and how many days it takes to ship spare parts.
İBAR MAKİNA machines carry a 2-year warranty; spare parts are shipped from stock on the same day.
10. Delivery time and shipping
Plant sections travel in containers, or in open containers for large parts. Find out in advance how long production takes, who organises shipping and in how many sections the plant will arrive.
At İBAR MAKİNA, production takes 30 to 90 days depending on the order date and the factory's workload; for export orders, sea freight adds about 30 days.

Frequently asked questions
Who are the concrete batching plant manufacturers in Turkey?
Many companies sell batching plants in Turkey, from large factories to trading companies. Shortlist manufacturers that have their own factory, can show plants they have installed and give a complete offer including silos, bins, belts, controls, installation and training. İBAR MAKİNA is one of them: it builds its plants in its own factory in Çerkezköy (Tekirdağ) and has exported to more than 30 countries.
Should I buy a stationary or a mobile plant?
A stationary plant suits you if you will produce large volumes of concrete in the same place for years; a mobile plant if you move from site to site; a site-type plant if you have a small site or need concrete for your own block or pipe production.
What capacity in m³ per hour should I choose?
Divide your daily requirement by your daily working hours and take the number of truck mixers into account. Small operations usually start with 30–60 m³ per hour; ready-mix plants and large projects choose 100 m³ and above.
Is installation included in the price?
At İBAR MAKİNA, yes: on-site installation and operator training are included in the price, machines carry a 2-year warranty and spare parts are shipped from stock on the same day.
How long does delivery of a concrete batching plant take?
At İBAR MAKİNA, production takes 30 to 90 days depending on the order date and the factory's workload. For export orders, sea freight adds about 30 days.
Do you sell used concrete batching plants?
No. İBAR MAKİNA only manufactures and sells new machines.
