We have loaded a fully automatic CPM 1400 PRO concrete pipe machine, built for a customer in Costa Rica, at our factory. The machine will produce reinforced and unreinforced concrete pipes from 300 mm to 1400 mm in diameter for sewers, stormwater drainage and road culverts.
Why fully automatic?
The CPM 1400 PRO can be built with semi-automatic or fully automatic control, and our customer in Costa Rica chose the fully automatic version. Under automatic control, the mortar distribution carriage, the vibrators, the hydraulic system and the finishing unit run in the same sequence every cycle. Production no longer depends on manual adjustments by the operator: every pipe comes out to the same quality and series production runs with fewer workers.
The loading
The machine's large main body was placed on a 40-foot flat-rack container, used for tall and wide loads, and secured with ratchet straps; the orange-painted parts were stretch-wrapped for the sea voyage. The remaining parts were lowered by our factory's overhead crane into an open-top container.
What the CPM 1400 PRO produces
- Diameter range: reinforced or unreinforced concrete pipes from 300 mm to 1400 mm.
- Several pipes per cycle: double or triple production in small diameters, depending on the customer's order, and single production in large diameters.
- Pipe length: from 1000 mm to 2500 mm, as required.
- Box culverts: up to 1200 x 1200 mm with the matching mould.
- Power: two 22 kW vibrator motors, a 15 kW hydraulic motor and a 2 m³ mortar hopper.
When the machine reaches the site, our team will install it and train the operators.
