In short: İBAR MAKİNA shipped its CPM 1400 PRO new-generation concrete pipe machine, built at our factory in Türkiye, to Zimbabwe. The machine produces concrete pipes from Ø300 mm to Ø1400 mm, and the PRO series delivers about 30% higher performance than standard concrete pipe machines. Producing pipes close to the job site for roads, drainage and sewerage is driving demand for such machines across Africa.
Growing demand for concrete pipes in Africa
Investment in roads, drainage and sewer networks in many African countries is increasing demand for culverts and concrete pipes. Heavy, bulky pipes are expensive to haul over long distances; producing them near the site cuts logistics costs and shortens project schedules. That is why on-site concrete pipe machines are becoming the preferred option in the region.
What the project needed
Our customer in Zimbabwe wanted to produce concrete pipes of different diameters for infrastructure projects on a single line, in series and to standard. A wide diameter range, a high production rate and a machine the local team could operate quickly were the main requirements.
